Angela Wu- Chopin: Fantasie Impromptu Op. 66
Frédéric François Chopin ( 1 March 1810 – 17 October 1849) composed ...
Frédéric François Chopin ( 1 March 1810 – 17 October 1849) composed this piece in 1834. He wrote it for his dear friend Julian Fontana, but the piece was not ...published until 1855, after Chopin’s death. This was because Chopin would have never allowed this piece to be published. He almost threw it in a fire, saying it was too similar to the last movement of Moonlight sonata. Fontana went against Chopin’s dying wish to not release his unpublished manuscripts. Thanks to Fontana, our ears can be blessed with the beautiful arpeggios in this piece that expressed Chopin’s realm of sentiments in his sorrowful life.[+] Show More
