About Ms. Maria
Ms. Maria Carmona is a versatile musician whose passion for conducting and teaching has shaped the musical experiences of students across Colombia and the United States. She holds Masters degrees in conducting from West Virginia University and the National University of Colombia, a Bachelor of Music in conducting from EAFIT University, Colombia, and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in conducting at WVU. Maria combines extensive academic training with diverse practical teaching expertise.
Her dedication to music education is demonstrated through her current role as a Graduate Assistant at WVU, where she conducts the Treble Choir, continuing her commitment to developing young musicians through both performance and education.

Conductor of the WVU Treble Choir and the Morgantown Piano Academy Children's Choir, leading ensemble performances and developing young vocal musicians
Orchestra & Teaching Experience
Extensive experience teaching voice, piano, choir, and orchestra in public and private schools, as well as work with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Bogotá, Colombia.
